Kristin Chambers is a native of Hinsdale, a 1969 graduate of Olean High School, the University of Buffalo '73 (BA) and West Virginia University '78 (MSW). She has lived in and around western New York her whole life, working first with runaway and homeless youth, then as a family counselor, and then developing training programs for child welfare workers at Buffalo State. She has one published novel, IN ACCORD, and a small stack of unpublished manuscripts. Married to Ed Miner, they have two children, three granddaughters, and one noisy, hairy, and friendly dog. She's been a member of EMVi since the very beginning and joined the Board of Directors in September 2024. She chairs the Program Committee and facilitates the Women's Discussion Group. She credits EMVi with "giving me my tribe," since retiring here in 2017.
