Ed Miner is retired and lives in Hinsdale with his wife, Kristin Chambers and their Elkhound Zoe. Ed received his MSW from WVU and graduate studies in statistics and a certificate in Public Health from SUNY Albany. Over forty years he taught research methods, child welfare, health care policy and public administration at Buffalo State College, SUNY Brockport and the University at Buffalo. A fellow of the Vera Institute of Justice in NY, he consulted with state governments and public agencies across the nation. He was President of the New York Public Welfare Association and The New York Rural Caucus. From 1990 through 2016 he was Commissioner of Health and Human Services in Chautauqua County, NY. After retirement he consulted with hospitals, nursing homes and large manufacturing corporations on planning, worker retention and health policy issues.
